A message from our Principal..

I have spent over 35 years teaching children and young adults the essential skills of touch-typing, shorthand and handwriting.

After teaching at David Games, a Sixth Form College in London, I went on to gain experience over 10 years at a number of colleges and schools including Pitman Training. I then started Ravenscourt College in Hammersmith, primarily teaching school leavers secretarial skills before university and Teeline Shorthand for Journalists.

We have focused for many years on children and young adults, developing typing and handwriting skills. I specialise in teaching children with SpLd, with years of experience at a specialist learning centre in London supported by my training with the British Dyslexia Association.  

We also have a department that teaches both Pitman and Teeline shorthand for Journalists leading to the NCTJ Speed Exam. I have taught for The National Council for the Training of Journalists, The Spectator, The Telegraph, The Times and at the Houses of Parliament. Our Pitman Shorthand courses for EA’s and PA’s have delivered careers in many leading organisations around the world, including the National Assembly of Cameroon and the Government of Qatar.
